Park Systems Rally - Saturday 7th October 2000
The Park Furniture Systems Rally starting in Ayr is the home event for the team. It had been a bit doubtful as to whether or not the team would be at the event as Ian had broken his ankle just 5 weeks beforehand.
The first stage used the forest drive at Loch Doon which gave a very smooth surface. The stage went well with no problems. The bulk of the rally was a 19 mile stage through Glentrool which also went very well apart from a collision with a small pile of logs. It all ended on the very next stage however which was a reverse run acroos the forest drive stage. About 3 miles from the end the car slid off into a deep ditch. The front wheels were completely submerged and the car was stuck.
