Solway Coast Rally - 7th October 2007The Solway Coast rally is based in a private forest near Dalry in Dumfries and Galloway. There were five stages in total. Stages 1 and 2 were very slippy and the team struggled a bit making a few mistakes and having a few moments. Stage 3 was a bit better but the times were still a bit off the pace. With 2 stages remaining the team were in 6th place but only one second from 5th and another 6 seconds to get fourth. Stage 4 went well with the team gaining time and getting into fourth place but it was still very close with only the last stage to go. Stage 5 went well with only a couple of small mistakes and setting the 2nd fastest time through the stage meant the team finished in fourth place only 5 seconds away from 3rd. After a slow start it was a good day out resulting in 4th overall and 2nd in class. Printer friendly page |
